The aviation is a fantastic gin drink with an American Gin (or london dry, whatever), it has great floral flavor, a potent bouquet of aroma, a good striking gin flavor and a lemon sour bite.
Great for many seasons and a good use of Maraschino liqueur giving it a hint of sweetness and a bit of mineral like earthiness. The Aviation is a great example of a classic gin cocktail.

1 oz Maraschino Liqueur
0.5 oz Creme de Violette
