Here’s one I just created that honestly tastes pretty good. This drink creation is based more on the actual mythology of Persephone than the game of God of War. The actual story states that Persephone ate from the pomegranate tree that was Hades property. She ate 3 seeds and a deal was made that she must become the wife of Hades and be by his side for a month for every seed she ate. While Persephone was gone, nature wept and become dead and dormant, thus the 3 months of winter.
I recreated this concept by making this cocktail with exactly 3 oz. of Pomegranate juice symbolizing the 3 seeds that she ate. Her penance was to be by Hades side in the underworld so that is symbolized by the addition of Bacardi 151. The sweetness of the blueberry schnapps and simple syrup shows the person she once was. GOD OF WAR: PENANCE OF PERSEPHONE
- 1 oz. Blueberry Schnapps
- 1 oz. Vodka
- 1 oz. Triple Sec
- 1/2 oz. Bacardi 151
- 1/2 oz. Simple Syrup
- 3 oz. Pomegranate Juice
Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice and shake well then pour into a tall glass with ice. Garnish with an orange and serve.
