Today marks our 4th year making cocktail video’s on the internet. Back in 2008 we posted our first video on youtube entitled Everyday Drinkers: Perfect Mai Tai and today we look back at it all.
We explain how we got to here and hopes for our future. We cover the incident with my son and his Leukemia diagnoses (with photos) and show a few clips of video’s never before seen on Youtube from our first two guests.
Some of the video is a bit ‘rough around the edges’ because the original footage wasn’t 1080p.
Thanks again to all our fans, all the fans we will have that will continue to expand the show and make it what it has become but even better! Here is to the next year!

August 5, 2012 at 3:19 pmDamn, its already been 4 years..
I started watching episodes maybe 3 years ago, and I’m a huge fan of the first episodes. Back in the days, I already knew how to make a Mai Tai, but I found your videos awesome. Way better than most cocktail videos on youtube, I think nobody talks about how does the drink tastes like 🙂 But the best thing is that after 4 years, you’re keeping the show COMMON MAN cocktail 😉

August 5, 2012 at 5:57 pmI work hard to try to keep it very common man style. Over the years I’ve learned a lot about the industry and how some things are typically done but, at the same time, many of those “typical” things are done by the cocktail saavy and bartenders. I show some things off now and again (like rimming with lemons to add some lemon sour to the sip) but I don’t force it on anyone so nobody gets “afraid” they can’t do it.
Thanks for your dedication!

August 6, 2012 at 12:47 pmMaybe that’s why I like the first episodes, the noise in the background and the smallest resolution made it even more common man 😉
By the way, I just saw that you got more than 100 000 views on some videos on Youtube, that’s awesome 🙂

August 6, 2012 at 1:51 pmYeah, there are video’s that get thousands upon thousands of viewers–those are usually the video’s with a very specific cocktail name (Incredible Hulk, etc.) Skittles Vodka one is pretty high too, and the Cloud 9 cocktail is always getting hits (and I have no idea why)
