We’re coming together to drink some red wine, however, only two of us are actually wine drinkers so it gets interesting. We’re drinking Syrah, Shiraz red wine while discussing our thoughts and being stupid. However, nobody gets more out of control than Luke, who finishes his entire bottle of wine by the end of the show. Who do you think gets a call from his mom before the end of the episode?

Thanks for responding to my last question. Now I have another one…I was broke over the holidays and bought the cheapest vodka and rum I could find for my parties and I noticed that the drinks made with that liquor was qucikly followed by a SCREAMING headache! SO……can cheap liquor give a person headaches? I am used to better liquor and have never had a problem with a rum and coke, or a screwdriver, or even a dirty martini but this stuff was soo bad I threw it out. I’d appreciate any knowledge you have on this topic. Thanks!

January 30, 2010 at 11:33 pmNo doubt, cheap alcohol equals huge headaches. They’re skimping on ingredients to make them cheaper. It’s the grain alcohols and sugars that really kill you, you’re getting pure alcohols masked with massive amounts of fake ingredients and sugars. Sugar and alcohol makes for a rough night. A reason why drinking too much wine gives you a massive headache (fermentation usually leaves some sugars behind with alcohol).
This is true with fake tequila too, like Cuervo Gold (which is only 51% agave, the rest is grain alcohol to fill the bottle)

February 17, 2010 at 4:59 amI just recently started listening to your podcast. I have been watching the video episods for about a month not. Great work on the shows. The podcasts get my through work pretty fast. and the videos have helped with some awesome recipes. not to mention empting my wallet buying new liquors. I went from having a bottle of run and vodka to about 20 bottles of different things.
But I was wondering maybe you could do a podcast on making wine. kinda like the brewing one. if you have someone who know alot about it that it is… i am just curious as to how its done and the humor you guys bring to it helps alot.
