Not quite a holiday cocktail, this drink brings the essence of winter to the forefront. Honestly, I’ll be glad to see winter leave but while it’s here we might as well do a few cocktails that reflect the season. This is a play on the “Jack Frost” recipe in Manhattan form, keeping fairly classic in nature while bringing a bit of peppermint to the scene.

January 11, 2010 at 9:21 pmWasn’t too sure about this one but decided to make it. Had about an oz of jack left in a bottle and an oz or so of VS cognac. Also only had some dry vermouth on the shelf. Damn.. That is pretty good!
