This is the re-creation of the Honolulu Lulu recipe. While the last rendition was fun and exciting it was missing one of the key ingredients: kahlua. Removing all distractions, we’re trying it again and focusing on the ingredients to get it right this time.
In all fairness, we’re using Cruzan this time instead of Don Q, both rums are great so use what you have (or another brand, perhaps Bacardi). It still tastes like coffee but the recipe does have a bit more balanced flavores towards the coffee and less towards the pineapple.
