The Tequila Sour is a great way to experience tequila without going full Margarita. It’s sweet yet sour, has nice flavor properties without the orange and the bitters make it stand out as its own drink.
Tequila lovers will, of course, love it and new tequila drinkers may find a more subtle way to experiment with tequilas. If you’re not into reposado’s, try the blanco/white/silver variaty. If you don’t have agave nectar, use simple syrup.
