Soon to be available in 4-pack and 24-pack cases (or kegs if you’re hardcore), Kerberos Tripel is a new Flying Dog beer arriving just in time for summer. We’re talking 8.5% alcohol by volume traditional Belgian Style brew with a gold hazy color and “mousse-like head.”
I’ve not gotten a chance to try this one, unfortunately, but it’s arriving right after their other seasonal, Biere De Garde which we were able to preview before release and which will be reviewed by our fellow drinking podcaster, Doug in the next episode (Spring Seasonal).
Head Brewer, Matt Brophy said, “Extensive pilot system brewing allowed us to experiment with a variety of recipes and yeast strains. We ended up with a strong Belgian Ale that starts off sweet up front, fruity in the middle and has a really nice dry finish.” (flyingdognews)
If I can find this in my neck of the woods, I’ll have to pick it up and give it a try. Unfortunately, they’re releasing it after we released our Belgian Beer podcast. Oh well.
