Viniq Shimmery Liqueur Review

Viniq Shimmery Liqueur could be the most amazing looking vodka-based spirit on the planet right now. But, does that make it taste good?

Their website states, “When fused with Premium Vodka, Moscato, and Natural Fruit Flavors, this tasteless, odorless pearly color is what elevates Viniq to the complete package.”

While Jennifer and Ian believe Viniq has a lot of grape flavor, Derrick found peach to be the predominant flavor profile. What do you think Viniq tastes like for those that have found this product in the store and became mesmerized by its shimmery nature?

You will also find Viniq holds its shimmer when other spirits are brought into the “mix” as well, including Blue Curacao.

It sparkles because they’ve used white sparkle mica powder in it. Same product put in shampoo, lipstick and other makeup items. I’m 51 and when I was in fourth or fifth grade we made bottles of this fluid, known as rheoscopic fluid. Great show you guys have watch on my Roku player and YouTube

We drank this last night for New Years eve. It was disgusting, about 12 people drank a small bit and not one person liked it. It’s very pretty, I love the shimmer and swirl, but the taste was awful. I will never buy it again. It was not cheap either, thank goodness it was $10 off, I paid 19.99, it was not worth the money.

This item is not in the same market as Ciroc, fyi. One is a fruit distillate vodka, the other is a liqueur.

I saw this at a silent auction and lost out. Yes, it was pretty, but that isn’t why I wanted to try it. I love everything in it: vodka, moscato, fruit…so it sounded yummy.

Finally found it after a couple of months and bought two bottles, one small, one large. I had two parties to go to an thought this would be the perfect time to try it.

It was disgusting. SO very disappointed! It’s like it ALMOST comes together, but then something goes horribly wrong. There’s an aftertaste that starts before you’ve swallowed. One friend said it tasted like cough syrup (the icky stuff that was around when we oldies were kids) and another likened it to fingernail polish. I guess the grape flavor people talk about is where the cough syrup comparison comes in. I couldn’t tell you what I think it tastes like except that it isn’t goo. It almost is, though. I feel like there’s a chemical they put in accidentaly or something and that if they removed that, it would taste great. Something is off, I just can’t say what.
Neither party finished their bottle (not even the small one). I have the large bottle (hardly any taken out of it) here at home. I don’t know what to do with it. I feel like I can mix it with something and have it taste good, but is that just a pipe dream? Anyone else figure something out?

I don’t know anyone who likes this (had another friend bring it to a very large party and no one there liked it, either…they just thought it was pretty).
Pretty doesn’t mean anything if it doesn’t taste good. I don’t expect this to be around next Chrismtas.

I really chilled mine first. I had it for the first time today, and LOVE IT!!! It sort of reminded me of grape ice pops, but so much better!

Tried it chilled. It is definitely strong, but tasty. Good for slow sips punctuated with mesmerizing gazes.

My wife buys this every time we go into town (it’s a 100 mile trip to go to the grocery store) for herself and her friends. I’m not a vodka or liqueur drinker, so I have to go on their tastes. They absolutely love it.

My husband just bought me some and it was amazing! I’m not sure if the above reviewers were drinking it straight up but there’s a bunch of yummy recipes on Viniq’s website. I tried the “A-List” and “Evening Accessory” and both were pretty yummy. (A-List was my fav!) I will definitely buy this again. It’s going to be my drink of the summer!
