Today we’re going to deconstruct the margarita using four people and four different categories of tequila: Blanco, Reposado, Añejo, and Extra Añejo.
The concept of the margarita is simple, it’s a fairly straight forward tequila sour cocktail. However, our version of the margarita or what we’ve deemed the “Common Man Margarita” is going to be slightly sweeter because its designed for the average drinker.
The margarita is quite a classic design with no fixed recipe, you do what you love with the recipe so prepare to modify it as you see fit! But, in our deconstruction we’re going to help you choose the style of tequila that may fit your favorite tequila drinking solution.
Enjoy our margarita deconstruction of our classic margarita recipe!
– 2 oz. Blanco or Reposado Tequila
– 1 oz. Fresh Lime Juice
– ¾ oz. Agave Nectar
– ¾ oz. Orange Liqueur
– Garnish with Lime Wheel; Rim with Salt optional
