The Caribbean Punch, Tiki Drink

The Caribbean Punch, and older cocktail invented by Don Beachcomber and it may be a tiki cocktail that will please those that don’t like intense grapefruit. This recipe was invented in 1937 as one of Don Beach’s recipes he served to folks, you can also find it on his menu for under $1 back in the 1940s.

While it is a strange combination, with root beer added. You can find this in Jeff Berry’s Sippin Safari Book along with tons of additional tiki recipes.

1/2 oz. Lime Juice, 1/2 oz. Falernum Syrup, 1/2 oz. Simple Syrup, 1 1/2 oz. Sarsaparilla / Root Beer, 1 oz. Gold Puerto Rican Rum, 1 oz. Jamaican Rum, 3 Dashes Angostura Bitters, 1 Dash Grenadine, 1 Drop Pernod, 8 Drops Almond Extract
