Mezcal Tasting: Fidencio Clasico, KOCH Tobasiche, & Derrumbes San Luis Potosi

Today we do a Mezcal Tasting with Fidencio Clasico, KOCH Tobasiche, & Derrumbes San Luis Potosi. The original goal was to taste across a spectrum of prices ranges, but we got the cost of KOCH Tobasiche wrong (it’s $120 USD). But, a mezcal tasting is really just an experience and here we are to experience it.

Norlan Whiskey Glasses:

Mezcal is a wonderful agave spirit and our tasting showcases a wide array of different varieties and flavors. From smokey flavor to subtle smoke to all out green pepper. Each mezcal and mezcal plant can lend its own tasting properties and this series is no different.

You’ll find over 50 varieties of agave make up the mezcal category and this is only a small slice of the variation. You need to taste test everything you can get your hands on and exploring Mezcal is highly encouraged. Make a game out of it, try as many as you can with friends and family, make some mezcal cocktails and learn from the experiences!
