Tasting Notes: Initial amaretto and orange juice awesomeness with a sour finish and a bit of potent burn–the sting of the scorpion tail? A slightly sour beverage.
A pretty yellow cocktail, not extremely entertaining from a visual perspective. But, amaretto and orange juice always pairs in an awesome manner so you got that going for you. Got some good flavors with that attack in the end which must be why this is named the Scropion’s “Tail” since that’s the dangerous part.
Question of the day, what’s the most potent cocktail you’ve ever had?
Recipe:
- 2 1/2 oz. White Rum
- 1 1/2 oz. Amaretto
- 2 oz. Orange Juice
- 1/2 oz. Simple Syrup
- 1 oz. Lemon Juice

February 10, 2012 at 9:36 pmThe most potent drink I’ve had is from your collection actually; the red death. I filled a 20 oz water bottle with this and in combination with a 40 was blackout for the night. That being said, I’ve never tried a zombie or some of the other crazy 151 cocktails.
