Along with, it seems, most of the stuff in this video! Yay me for marketing 🙂 The Blue Hawaii is different from the Blue Hawaiian because it’s less sweet, does not contain coconut at all and has a bit of sour mix (where the other is more a blended drink).

You can, however, blend up a Blue Hawaiian if you want, but the classic style is a bit more straight forward for a cocktail recipe.

The Blue Hawaii
– 3/4 ounce vodka
– 3/4 ounce light rum
– 1/2 ounce blue curaçao
– 3 ounces pineapple juice
– 1 ounce sweet-and-sour mix
– Garnish: pineapple wedge
– Garnish: cocktail umbrella

Go make yourself a Blue Hawaii and get a taste of the 50’s as this classic drink is one of the more popular reasons to use Blue Curacao in a cocktail.
