Blackbeard’s Ghost, Tiki Cocktail?

Blackbeard’s ghost is some sorta tiki cocktail as it contains the right amount of complex ingredients, rum, falernum syrup and all the love.

However, it is pretty tough on the acidity with strength across a lot of the flavor profile and alcohol. It doesn’t have the same balance as some of the other tiki’s we’ve done recently–definitely a bit on the alcohol-forward flavor with too much acidity.

The only saving grace is the Falernum syrup as it brings the clove and island spice. This may be a bit more on the modern tiki, trying to be tiki just to be tiki with perhaps too much juice or too much sour. The lemon against the orange doesn’t bring the sweet and just sticks with the acidic.
