This is a layered cocktail that’s meant to show off the potency of absinthe. The Flaming Imbecile is served on fire, easily done with the absinthe layered on the top. The shooter will definitely underscore the black liquorice/anisette flavor with some sourness followed by sweetness.
I suggest using a normal shot glass and not a fancy flared lipped shot glass!
