WOUNDED WARRIOR PROJECT RECEIVES DONATION FROM
THE BRAVE SPIRITS FOUNDATION

Washington, D.C., December 8, 2008 – The Brave Spirits Foundation made its first ever donation to the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP; www.woundedwarriorproject.org) on December 8th.  The Brave Spirits Foundation, a non-profit organization, was created by Brave Spirits (www.BraveSpirits.com) to distribute funds to U.S. fire, military and police charities.  Brave Spirits distills 100% American made premium spirits and was created to honor, remember and celebrate the men and women who wear a uniform.  Launched in Narberth, PA, in June 2008, Brave Spirits donates $2 from every bottle purchased from its line of Valor Vodka, Standing Guard Gin, First In Whisky and At Ease Rum, to the Foundation.

Brave Spirits Foundation board member Colonel Michael LoGrande (Ret.) presented WWP with a $2,500 check.  On hand to accept the check on behalf of the philanthropic group and was Tim Bertocci, Deputy Director, WWP Washington, Adam Silva, Director Resource Development and Jenny Archer, Regional Development Officer.

“The Wounded Warrior Project is thrilled that Brave Spirits chose to collaborate with and support our mission to honor and empower America’s wounded warriors,” said Bertocci.  “Brave Spirits is demonstrating its commitment to support the people that protect and defend our nation as well as their families, and to thank them.”

“Since the idea of Brave Spirits was conceived, we have been so eager for the day that we could start giving back to the men and women who dedicate their lives to protecting our nation everyday,” said Jennifer Dempsey Fox, director of the Brave Spirits Foundation and co-founder of Brave Spirits.  “Giving back is the reason we started this company and we are extremely proud to support an organization as dedicated and successful in their endeavors as the Wounded Warrior Project.”

Brave Spirits has also made donations to foundations benefiting police and firefighters this year, and will continue working to support WWP.
